Many of our clients exhibit their products or services at industry trade shows, whether local, regional, national or international in scope. In such a competitive arena, it is essential that the company's/organization's brand be well represented to capture the attention of prospective customers.


 
The Trade Show Display as Marketing Backdrop

Picture the trade show display shown below as ten feet high and twenty feet wide. Several company reps stand in front of it where a table offers product samples, video presentations and other collateral literature about the company. Trade Shows typically are the ultimate networking opportunity where hundreds of attendees trade business cards and sign up for email notifications. While it usually is rare to actually seal a business deal during this convention of tedium, the trade show booth with its display are all about company image and conveying the impression of success.

When certain types of businesses enjoy a captive audience, it makes sense to capitalize on that valuable opportunity with Point of Purchase product exposure. You see it all the time at grocery stores or pharmacies. A line of customers stands waiting to check out and has time to kill by looking at all the countertop offers for everything imaginable. Point of purchase displays are one of marketing's most successful concepts. There is an impulse buyer in every crowd. Maybe two or three. Or more. Especially when your product is targeted to their interests, like the Subaru owner who waits at the dealership to pay for his repair and is intrigued by a countertop display that appeals to his first love, his car!

Although many clients prefer to include more information than is needed on a trade show display, we generally advise simplicity over clutter. Drama over the ordinary.
